For the first time, 555 Sardines showcased only one variant (Fried Sardines in Oil) in its TVC instead of the usual two (Sardines in Tomato Sauce plus Fried Sardines in Oil). This TV material aims to reinforce the positive response that this particular 555 product got with the previous campaigns featuring Maine Mendoza. Between the two products that were always featured in the past, Fried Sardines sales had a bigger impact on the brand's growth year-on-year.
To heighten the message of the unique fried flavor, we used the 80s Kuh Ledesma classic ballad, "Dito Ba?", and changed the lyrics to "Prito ba?" This tongue-in-cheek jingle dramatized the crave-worthy taste of 555 Fried Sardines. Watch a diva-esque Maine croon about its "fried" goodness here.
